Electrician

We are actively recruiting for Electricians to join our electrical department within our Carnaby manufacturing site. We are looking for a qualified, motivated, self-starter who can deal with all aspects of machine manufacturing from design, R&D, procurement, sub-contractors, quality, parts, and service support from an electrical perspective.

The individual will need to work well with others, have excellent communication skills, and be able to look for continuous improvement opportunities in all aspects and processes of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adopt 5s and Lean Philosophy
  • Meeting relevant electrical and control safety requirements and design standards
  • Adhere to ABG Electrical QC standards and general standard electrical engineering practices
  • Work to electrical drawings, building panels, backplates, cables etc.
  • Carry out any necessary wiring or wiring modifications when required
  • Complete and develop process check sheets
  • Power-up modules / machines and test to required standards
  • Perform necessary fault finding
  • Work with and support sub-assembly, module build, software engineers, test engineers and stores
  • Highlight any errors and / or omissions on the electrical and /or mechanical design
  • Provide technical support to sub-contract / outsourcing partners
  • Travel to other ABG sites, customers and supplier sites when required
  • Assist with any factory maintenance
  • Maintain accurate job clocking

Leadership

  • Assist with training of development of colleagues and apprentices
  • Support leadership functions when team leaders are away

      Key Skills

      • Suitable experience or HNC up to degree level
      • Able to read and understand electrical drawings
      • Understanding of DC and AC (single and 3 phase) circuits
      • Correct use of required tooling and electrical multi-meters
      • I.T skills
      • Effective support to all stakeholders
